Every business has a story. Ours began in 1996 with two brothers, a $30,000 loan, and a belief that doing the right thing matters.

Matt and Andrew Schmidt didn’t set out to build a legacy, just to do good work, treat people fairly, and build something their dad would be proud of. They showed up every day with the integrity they were raised on: If you say you’ll do something, you do it and you do it well.

AMEK started in roofing and exteriors, but as interior remodeling grew, so did the vision. When their brother Paul joined in 1998 with expertise in construction science and problem solving, the company evolved into a full-service Design + Build firm.

Over 30 years, we’ve grown from a scrappy crew into a trusted partner, learning along the way and staying grounded in what matters most:
