Edina Project Earns National Recognition

Our AMEK team earned national recognition for a whole remodeling project we did for an Edina family. Sponsored by the Qualified Remodeler magazine, the 41st Annual Master Design Awards in 22 categories were recently presented in Kentucky.

Receiving a Gold Award in the Insurance Restoration category, our project involved completely gutting a home following a kitchen fire and starting over for a floor plan to better meet today’s lifestyle. The design awards highlight remodeling projects that overcome challenges with solutions.

Maximizing design elements and selections within the limitations of the insurance settlement were main components to the scope process. The new open layout is ideal for entertaining while function-oriented spaces like the custom drop zone cabinet, dog washing station, upper level lounge, butler’s pantry, and flex room elevate daily living. In addition, the exterior was renovated with a new entry, deck, siding and windows.

Judges reviewed entries on the basis of aesthetic appeal, construction techniques, handling of unusual situations, attention to detail, functionality of space, and overall impression. We appreciate the recognition and feedback from peer judges who help us to refine our experience for our clients. This project also received the Chrysalis Award earlier this year.
